Le Montre et Raconte (Show and Tell)
The following are the show and tell themes for each month. Your child is allowed to bring one item each week on their assigned day. (In other words, they have show and tell approximately 4 times each month.) If they are absent on their day (or there is a holiday on their day), they may bring their item in the following day.
Please have the children bring the item (hidden) inside a bag. We will be asking questions to guess what it is as a way of practising our French oral language.
Themes:
octobre: Family Photo
novembre: Fall or something that tells us about themselves (ex. a swimming badge they earned, a photo of your child doing an activity/sport they enjoy, etc.)
decembre: Family tradition (This can be a photo or explanation of something that you do as a family every year. For example, decorating a Xmas tree, visiting Butchart Gardens, family movie night, going camping in the summer, etc.)
janvier: Something about winter
février: Something I love (a small item, a photo of someone they love, a book they love, or something they love doing, etc.)
mars: Pets / Animals
avril: Spring or something from nature
mai: Things that rhyme. Choose 2 things that rhyme- the words can be in English! (ex. a sock and a rock, a box and a fox, a house and a mouse, a potato and a tomato, etc.) The child will show us one of the things. We will identify it, and see if we can guess what the second object is.
juin: Free choice, but no toys please! (As the last week is only a partial week, we will not have Show and Tell that week.)
