Hello everyone,

Another great week with your amazing children! We all had fun colouring our Eagles to create the mural at the front of the hall - if time take a look.

This week we will be having our P.J. Pancake Breakfast which is also Pink Shirt day. Please let your child choose what they would like to wear. I will also have paper pink slips that they can wear too. Thank you to those who have signed up for food/volunteering. We will be making things in the kitchen and I will have our classroom set up for eating. Our Big Buddies will be participating in gym with us before we eat so it will be a fun morning!

Just a reminder to please help your child count out a collection of 100 items and bring it for their Sharing Day. We will be talking and further exploring  our 100 day collections on Friday.  We will be working with the other K classes to do 100 day activities for a portion of the day to celebrate our 100 days at school - it is very exciting! The children are looking forward to putting the 100 numeral in our chart!

Sharing: Listening to the rhyming words was so much fun for us all! This week please support your child in bringing in the 100 day collections. Remember we will be hanging it up on the wall and will have it for the following week as we begin our new unit on measurement - weight.

Reminders/Up coming Dates:

  • Monday, February 24th - Popcorn Day
  • Stelly's Food Drive on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm - We are supporting Stelly's in their Food Drive this year by collecting non perishable food items starting now until March 4th.  If you wish to participate, please send items with your child to place in our collection box.  All items will be donated to Saanich Peninsula Food Bank.
  • Swan Lake - Snakes in the classroom . March 3
  • Early Dismissal - March 4 - Student Led Conference - sign up sheet will be given out this week. There will be a time for 4 children per 20 minutes so they have space/time to share their work and activities that we do in the classroom.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Mrs. Blackie
