Hi everyone,

We have had a busy week of Gingerbread stories and activities. Please ask your child about  the books we read,

For sharing we loved listening to the family Christmas traditions. There was lots of decorating, eating and making Christmas cookies and Gingerbread Houses.

Sharing:  Oral -Your child's favourite Holiday treat/food/drink? What it is? Why special? Do they help make it?

Extra Clothes - please send extra underwear and pants. The children get wet easily and usually after outside play want to change their pants. If you could please send an extra set that would be great..

Some activities happening at school:

This holiday season, we are again supporting the Central Saanich Police in their 4th Annual 'Cram the Cruiser' Toy Drive. We will be accepting new unwrapped toys for children aged 2-12 years from December 1-16th. All toys are donated to local families in the Community.

Thank you for your support!

Brentwood PAC is collecting loonies and twoonies for the Sidney Food Bank.  Students can bring donations to class or to the office.

December 11th is our craft afternoon with our Orange Cohort

December 15th is our Christmas tree ice cream cone day
Orange Cohort  Kindergarten classes will be getting together to decorate Christmas Cone Trees with Royal Icing and treats.  on Wednesday,
We're asking everyone to bring an individual small bag of treats (no nut products) and a bag of Royal Icing.
Icing Recipe:   Royal Icing-  ½ tsp lemon juice,  1 egg white , 1½ cups or more icing sugar -Combine lemon juice and egg white in a small bowl and gradually beat in sugar until stiff peaks form. A knife drawn through the icing should leave clean, sharp line. (Or Thrifty's usually has some premade containers)

December 16th - Reports sent home- envelopes to be signed and returned to school asap

December 18th - Winter Break Begins

Have a wonderful weekend!
